Google promises seven years of OS and security updates for the Pixel 8 generation onward (including the A-series — a Pixel 9a gets the same seven years as a Pixel 10 Pro). Older Pixels are different: the Pixel 6 and 7 generations carry five years of support, which is why the Pixel 6's clock runs out in October 2026.
