How long do Vivo phones get updates?

Vivo's flagship X-series now commits to four major Android upgrades and five years of security patches, starting with the X200 generation and extending to recent high-end X and iQOO models. That improved on the X100-era promise; for years Vivo offered only up to three upgrades on its premium phones before expanding to four with the iQOO 12 in 2023. Lower Funtouch OS / OriginOS tiers and budget models get fewer upgrades and shorter security windows. Vivo has no official US retail presence, so its commitments apply mainly to Asian and European markets.
