Oppo's current top tier, introduced with the Find X8 series, promises up to five major Android upgrades and six years of security patches — the Find X8 Pro gets five OS upgrades, the standard X8 four, both with six years of security. That's a recent jump: 2023-era flagships got four upgrades and five years, and older Find X3/X5 phones just three and four. Mid-range and budget ColorOS models get noticeably shorter windows than the flagship tier. Oppo isn't sold through official US retail, so this matters mainly to European and Asian buyers.
