How long do Huawei phones get updates?
Since losing access to Google services in 2019, Huawei phones run EMUI or HarmonyOS (and the newer Google-free HarmonyOS NEXT) without Google Play or Google apps. Huawei publishes no Samsung- or Google-style pledge of a fixed number of upgrades or years of support. In practice it releases monthly EMUI/HarmonyOS security bulletins across many versions and continues feature updates for recent flagships like the Pura 80 and Mate 70. With no formal long-term promise, treat support duration as best-effort rather than guaranteed; Huawei has no official US retail presence.
