How long do Apple phones get updates?
Apple is the odd one out: it publishes no update-policy years at all. Its written legal commitment (a UK PSTI filing) guarantees a minimum of five years of security updates, but its documented track record is about seven — the iPhone 6s and XS each passed seven years. We therefore estimate iPhone support windows at release + 7 years and label every one of them as an estimate, not a promise.
