Xiaomi 15T
By Muhammad Tahir · Updated June 2026 · how we review
The 15T keeps the big 6.83-inch 144Hz screen, the 5,500mAh battery and a Leica 2x telephoto, and drops the periscope and wireless charging to land at $500. It is the sensible half of the 15T pairing.

Frequently asked questions
How long will the Xiaomi 15T be supported?
Four OS upgrades and five years of security patches from its September 2025 release, taking support to September 2030 — around four years from now. At a street price near $500 that is roughly $10 per month of supported ownership.
How is the 15T different from the 15T Pro?
Three things. The Pro has a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto where the standard 15T has a 2x; the Pro uses a Dimensity 9400+ against the 15T's 8400-Ultra; and the Pro adds 90W wired plus 50W wireless charging where the 15T has 67W wired only. Screen, battery and IP68 are shared. The 15T is lighter at 194g versus 210g.
Is the Dimensity 8400-Ultra fast enough?
For everything most people do, yes. It is an all-big-core upper-mid chip that runs current games at high settings and handles everything else without hesitation. It will not match a Dimensity 9400+ or Snapdragon 8 Elite in sustained benchmarks, but in daily use — apps, camera, browsing, video — the difference is largely invisible.
Is a 2x telephoto actually useful?
Yes, more than the modest number suggests. 2x is the classic portrait focal length, and having real optical glass rather than a digital crop means noticeably better detail and depth rendering on people shots. What it will not do is reach distant subjects — for that you need the 15T Pro's 5x periscope.
