What happens when support ends
- 🔓 Security risk grows monthly. New vulnerabilities are discovered constantly; on an unsupported phone they are never fixed. Banking, payments, email, and password apps become progressively riskier.
- 📱 Apps drop off. Developers raise their minimum OS requirements over time — first you lose updates to apps, then the apps themselves.
- 💸 Resale value falls fast. The market prices support: once a phone leaves a manufacturer's update list, its used value drops sharply and keeps falling.
More questions about the X300 Ultra
How long will the Vivo X300 Ultra be supported?
Vivo hasn't published a separate written policy specific to the X300 Ultra at the time of writing, but based on the X300 and X300 Pro's official 5-year OS/7-year security commitment, buyers can reasonably expect the same, projecting support into around 2033.
Is the X300 Ultra sold in the US?
No. It launched in China in March 2026 and expanded to Europe, India, and parts of Asia and the Middle East by May 2026, but Vivo has not brought it to the US market, so any US unit is an import without official warranty.
How does the X300 Ultra compare to the X300 Pro?
The Ultra adds a second 200MP sensor for the main camera (versus 50MP on the Pro), swaps to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 from the Dimensity 9500, and grows the battery to 6,600mAh with 100W charging, at a roughly 40% price premium over the Pro.
