No. It has a 10MP 3x optical telephoto, the same lens as the S24+. Beyond 3x it crops digitally, and quality falls away quickly past about 5x. If long-range zoom matters, the S25 Ultra's periscope is the only Samsung answer — that gap is the single clearest reason to spend up.

In practice that is roughly 0–65% in half an hour and a full charge in a little under an hour, provided you use a 45W PD-PPS charger — Samsung does not include one in the box. It is not the fastest in Android, where Chinese flagships push 80–120W, but it is a clear step above the 25W on Samsung's FE and A-series phones.

The S24+ is around $150 cheaper and shares the same screen, cameras, battery and charging. The S25+ adds the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a slightly slimmer and lighter body, and one extra year of support to February 2032. If you upgrade every few years the S24+ is the better deal; if you intend to keep this phone until it stops receiving patches, the extra year plus the newer chip makes the S25+ the sounder long-term buy.

For most people, yes. It matches the Ultra on screen size class, resolution, refresh rate, chip and RAM, and it is noticeably lighter at 190g. What you give up is the periscope zoom, the 200MP main sensor and S Pen support. If you do not use the pen and do not shoot at long range, the S25+ covers the same ground for substantially less money.
