Samsung Galaxy S25 FE

The Exynos 2400 — the full version, not the downclocked 2400e used in the S24 FE. It is a genuinely fast chip that handles Galaxy AI and everything else without difficulty, but it is less power-efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the S25 and S25+, so it runs warmer and drains faster under sustained load like gaming or long video recording.

Until October 2032 — seven years of OS upgrades and seven years of security patches from its October 2025 release, under Samsung's official policy. Because it launched on Android 16 with One UI 8, none of that window has been consumed by pre-release software, which is not always true of phones bought a year into their cycle.

Marginally. The rear array is effectively the same — 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, 8MP 3x telephoto. The clear improvement is the front camera, which goes from 10MP to 12MP with a wider field of view. The bigger practical upgrades over the S24 FE are elsewhere: 45W charging instead of 25W, a larger 4,900mAh battery, and a year more support.

It is enough today and it is the honest weak point tomorrow. One UI runs well on 8GB now, but seven years is a long time in a market where on-device AI is pushing memory requirements up sharply. If you expect to keep this phone for the full support window rather than three or four years, the 12GB in the S25+ is the more future-proof choice.

The S25 FE costs roughly $200 more and earns it: a far faster chip, a 3x telephoto the A-series lacks, IP68 versus the A56's lower rating, and seven years of support against six. The A56 is the better buy if the budget is firm; the S25 FE is the better buy if you want a phone that will still feel adequate in 2030.
