About the same as a Galaxy S25 Edge at 5.8mm, and thinner than almost everything else. Combined with 159g, the Edge 70 is one of very few large-screen phones that genuinely disappears in a pocket. The cost is a 4,800mAh battery where a conventionally thick 6.7-inch phone would carry 5,500mAh or more.
Can a phone this thin really be rugged?
Motorola certifies it to IP68 and IP69 for dust and water, and to MIL-STD-810H, which covers drop, temperature and vibration testing. Thinness affects rigidity rather than sealing, and the aluminium frame addresses that. It is genuinely more protected than most phones twice its thickness — though as always, a case is still sensible.
Is three 50MP cameras better than a telephoto?
It depends what you shoot. Having a 50MP main, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP front camera means consistent quality whichever you use, which is genuinely valuable — most phones pair a good main with a weak ultra-wide. But there is no optical zoom at all, so distant subjects are a digital crop. The cheaper Edge 60 Neo has a real 3x telephoto instead.
