Frequently asked questions
How long will the Infinix Note Edge be supported?
Three OS upgrades and five years of security patches from its February 2026 release, so support runs to February 2031. That is Infinix's strongest commitment to date — the brand has historically offered two years or less — though it still trails Samsung's six years at similar prices.
How does it fit 6,500mAh into a 7.2mm body?
Silicon-carbon battery chemistry. Silicon anodes hold substantially more energy per unit volume than conventional graphite, which is why several 2025–26 phones carry 6,000mAh-plus cells without the bulk that used to require. For comparison, a Galaxy S25+ is 7.3mm thick with a 4,900mAh battery.
Is a single rear camera a serious limitation?
It is honest, at least. Rather than padding the spec sheet with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor nobody uses, Infinix fitted one 50MP main camera and left it there. In practice you lose ultra-wide shots entirely — landscapes, architecture and group photos from close range are simply not possible. If that matters, the CMF Phone 2 Pro at $279 has three usable lenses.
Is the curved screen a problem?
It is a matter of preference. Curved edges look striking and make the phone feel thinner in hand, but they can cause accidental touches, distort content at the edges, and make screen protectors and cases harder to fit well. Most manufacturers have moved back toward flat displays on flagships for exactly these reasons.
